Dr. Robert Lusch Celebrates 40 years as a member of the American Marketing Association

Dr. Robert Lusch of the University of Arizona, has a long and productive history in American marketing. Last fall, Dr. Lusch passed a significant milestone within the AMA by celebrating his 40th consecutive year of membership in our professional organization.

On Tuesday, January 10, 2012, Tucson AMA will proudly celebrate with Dr. Lusch at the club’s monthly luncheon held at the Arizona Inn from 11:30am to 1pm. Registration for the event is available online at www.tucsonama.com/events.

Having earned his undergraduate and Master’s degrees from the U of A, he went on to gain his doctorate at the University of Wisconsin, taught and served as Dean of the College of Business Administration at the University of Oklahoma and then the Dean of the M.J. Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University.

Dr. Lusch finally returned “home” in 2004 to be Head of the Marketing Department and marketing professor at the Eller School of Business Management at the U of A.

He currently holds the James & Pamela Muzzy Chair in Entrepreneurship and is Executive Director of The McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship. He teaches “Marketing Research for Entrepreneurs” to undergrads and “Perspectives and Principals of Research Marketing” for doctoral candidates.

Lusch has been a prolific author of marketing papers throughout his career and active within professional, academic and business enterprise circles. He has served four terms on the board of directors of the American Marketing Association (AMA) and has contributed an exhaustive ledger of volunteer efforts to the national chapter over the years.
